Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting new clients at this time?

Yes! Please complete the interest form here and I’ll be in touch!

I don’t identify as a Black or Brown millennial woman? Can I still work with you?

Of course! While my work focuses to provide healing spaces for Black and Brown millennial women, I work with clients of all backgrounds. If you feel that the way I work aligns with what you are looking for, please book a consultation and we can definitely chat more about your goals and how I can help you.

Do you take insurance?

I am able to accept AETNA, Optum (UnitedhealthCare,Harvard Pilgrim, Oscar, Oxford), Cigna, and Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield (NY Only) through Alma. If you do not have these insurance providers, I am an out-of-network provider for your plan This means that you would pay the session fee ($180) at the time of your session and later seek reimbursement from your insurance company. You can see if you have out-of-network coverage by logging into the insurance company website or by calling the number on the back of your card. If your current insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, I would be able to provide you with the necessary documentation to submit for reimbursement.

What’s your availability for sessions?

I currently see clients on Mondays (afternoon and evening), Tuesdays (afternoon and evening), Thursdays (morning and afternoon), and Fridays (morning and afternoon).

How long are sessions?

All sessions are 45 minutes in length.

How often are sessions?

I meet with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis. Individual therapy is a long-term commitment. Healing, growth, and change do not happen overnight. This process takes time. As a therapist practicing from a primarily person-centered perspective, I believe that the relationship we cultivate in the virtual therapy room is the most important foundational part of the work we’ll do together. In order for this to happen, we must meet on a consistent basis to build a strong therapeutic rapport.

Do you see children and adolescents?

At this time, I only work with therapy-seekers 18+.

How much are sessions?

Individual sessions are $200. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept payment via debit/credit card or HSA/FSA. I also accept vouchers from Loveland and McFarland.

Loveland offers 4 vouchers (click here for more information on how to apply). You may apply for three rounds of vouchers in total from Loveland.

McFarland offers up to 10 vouchers (click here for more information on how to apply). You may be able to apply for a second round of vouchers.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes, I have a limited number of sliding scales slots available. My sliding scale rates begin at $135.

Since sessions are virtual, can I work with you if I live in another state?

Even though sessions are virtual, licensing laws only allow me to work with individuals located within the states of New York (license #: 011842) and Rhode Island (license #: MHC01425) only.
